Google Search Console in Contextter: the current connection boundary
Contextter has a read-only Google connection for a Site Audit domain. This page separates the connection that exists today from performance and index-inspection workflows that are not yet presented as finished customer features.
What is implemented today

Read-only Google authorization
The OAuth flow requests Google's webmasters.readonly scope. It does not request permission to change a property, submit a sitemap, or trigger indexing actions.

A property tied to the audited site
Contextter lists properties available to the connected Google account and validates that the selected domain or URL-prefix property matches the Site Audit domain.

Connection and source status
The product stores the selected property, granted scopes, connection time, and source diagnostics needed to tell whether the connection is configured, fresh, stale, or unavailable.

No promise of query-level evidence yet
The current customer-facing source contract treats Search Console as connection coverage, not as available query-level facts. We therefore do not claim that clicks, impressions, or URL inspection results are already visible beside every crawl finding.
What you need and what to expect
You need a verified Search Console property and a Google account with access to it. Availability in the interface depends on the Search Performance workflow enabled for your workspace. Contextter does not write to the property or submit changes on your behalf.
How the connection is bounded

- 2.Google asks for read-only Search Console access through its OAuth consent screen.
- 3.Contextter lists the properties available to that account and validates the selected property against the audited site.
- 4.The connection and source status are stored for the product workflows that support them.
